Cabana Suru · Vf. Suru
1.450m cabin · three approaches to two summits

Suru is where the western Făgăraș ridge crosses 2.000m for the first time — Vârful Moașa (2.034m), then Vârful Suru (2.283m), both reached from the same cabin via three different approaches. Neither summit is technical, but the elevation gain adds up fast, and the standard route stays unexposed the whole way.
At 1.450m, Cabana Suru keeps it simple — meals, water, rooms, open most of the year. Stop for lunch on your way to the summit, or book a bed and start the ridge fresh the next morning. cabanasuru.com.
Vârful Suru works as a day hike on its own, or as the opening move of something much longer. Turning back is the simple option; continuing means days on the ridge and a different way down — plan that with the route builder below.
